I've got an about 4"x4" plate under the right front corner of my trasmission housing on my 801 powermaster. It has about a 1/4" hole in the center of the plate and is leaking what appears to be clean hydraulic fluid. What have I got here? Thanks for your help, bob

What's this? Trouble!!

Soundguy pointed out the 3 things it can be (rear engine seal, trans seal, hydraulics pipe leak.

The hydraulic pipes can be repaired by getting a pipe that just barely fits inside the old pipe and epoxying it in place. Will reduce the flow, but it won't leak. The other issues need a tractor split.

What tractor do you have?

What Soundguy says.

The hole typically has a loose cotter pin in it so dirt doesn't seal it up with the pin jiggling around.

If you seal the hole, the oil will coat your clutch & ruin it. Needs to drain out. It is coming past a seal on either the engine or the tranny.

If you see hydro tranny..My guess is that you have a leaky tranny input shaft seal, and a missing cotter pin.. if it were engine oil.. then I'd say, bad rear main. if hydro fluid.. then perhaps a leaky passthru pipe.
