There is a one arm loader on ebay. It is close enough to pick it up so I will be bidding. Can someone tell from the picks if the brackets included will work on a 861 or will I need something else?

If figure from reading soundguy's post it will do everything I need.

Photo of correct brackets for One Arm Loader in reply to duckrock, 02-22-2007 17:19:10

The bracket on the left mounts to the front of the engine, the one in the middle bolts to the side of the transmission housing and the one on the right bolts to the bottom of the transmission housing. I made the one on the right, the other 2 are factory.

Ok.. from what my bad eyes see here is what I think:

1, it apepars to be a 711 loader, as the lower support is not tapped for hyd sump.

2, it appears to have the 5.5" box, meaning that it was made for the x00 hundred and early x000 4 cyl tractors.

3, it appears that one of the brackets in the pile is what we here are calling a 'hip' bracket. it bolts to the left side bellhousing with 3 bolts, and has a 'nub' that engages the box on the loader, which you then put a pin or bolt thru to hold it on.

4, you are missing the front under axle bracket.. no biggie.. this can be 'torched' out of 1/2" plate, then drilled for 2 bolt holes, and a large hole for the front of the laoder frame 'toe' to engage.

5, you are missing the lower bracket that goes from the underside base of the loader to the underside of the tractor bellhousing... again.. no biggie.. this can be torched out of 3/8 plate and then drilled for the 2 bolt holes.

Assuming that hip bracket is either homade.. or of a HD design I havn't seen, you should be good to go.. the 'hip' bracket is always the har one to track down.. the other 2 are flat stock 'torch' jobs if needed.

Again.. only guessing about that hip bracket. if it were me.. I'd trailer my 860 up there and then ask to 'hold' that bracket and see if it matched up tot he holes on my bellhousing.

Price?

I seen em go for 50$, 150% and 350$.

Depending on where you live.. sometimes they are more plentiful. down here in florida. they are 'extremly' rare.. I paid 350$ for mine.. it was a similar 711 with a 80% rusted out bucket, but was hyd dump.. etc., came witht he 'lower' bracket... I had to buy the hip and axle brackets.

Now.. a couple of the other guys here.. like ultradog.. well.. he is tripping over them it seems... they just find there way to his palce all the time from what i hear ( i'm jealouse! )

On the loader frame. the seller indicates the frame number is 19-209, that indicates that it is the mechanical dump version o fthe 711 9 19-276 would be the hyd dump ver of the 711 ).. in any case.. the specs on that laoder are as follows:

1000# lift to full height
2500# breakaway lift

About 117" from grounf to bucket floor at full lift, and about 5" below ground level and full drop... those numbers were for the 19-276 hyd model.. but the mech deump model will be similar.. etc.

Here's what mine looked like for 350$.. I had to weld a new floor into the bucket...

keep us posted on what yuo decide, and if you get it.

If i lived in tx I'd be bidding on it!

trip bucket questions in reply to soundguy, 02-22-2007 21:44:27
He says the cable is missing. I'm guessing no big deal - just a standard cable of a specific length?

How hard is it to dump with a trip bucket when it is full of dirt?

I'm also guessing that for up/cown control I would use the tractor hydro with the loader connected to the top plate?

Thanks for all the info.

I believe the cable he is refering to is the dump linkage for the trip dump.

I imagine the dump mech will be similar in 'difficulty' as they are on a 3pt dirt scoop. On my 30" dirt scoop.. when it is full with a heaping load of dirt or clay.. i guess it is near 500#.. It takes a good 'yank' on the dump rope.. but nothing enormous. Just add a bit of a longer 'trip' lever at the top, IE longer on the calble side than on the latch side in relation to the pivot point (fulcrum), and you will have mechanical advantage on your side.

Yes.. 3pt handle will controll lift it the arms are chained and the lift cyl is plumbed out of the port on the hyd top plate 'blank' cover..

souNdguy & others:
The "nub" on the hip bracket should be about 1.5" in diameter. In the first photo you can see the hole in the loader frame that the nub fits into. It looks like the nub on the hip bracket that comes with the loader is a piece of either .5" or .75" rod. I suppose you could cut it off and weld on a piece of 1.5" bar stock.

duckrock: I sent you an e-mail. If you didn't receive it I have opened my e-mail link.

Yes, I realize it was a smaller nub. my guss is he bushinged ip up.. etc..

As i said.. I'm not sure it is a 'factory' bracket.. whether ford or not.. but perhaps a home-brew one.

That hip bracket won't work on an 600/800/601/801. Look at the position of the 3 mounting holes compared to the one I just posted a photo of.

Those brackets appear to be home made and would NOT work with my one arm loader on my 861.

I have bought a couple of implements from Maresh and I have seen that loader at his place for at least a year now. I inquired about it once and the price I was quoted seemed high to me.

In your opinion what is a fair price for this loader? Any idea what his reserve might be?
If I was able to get a good deal on it would you be able to help me out with pictures of the brackets needed to install it?
