24 inch rims on NAA

I need a new 24" rim and tire for an NAA, but the tractor is about 100 miles away so I'm not exactly sure what I need. I also have an NAA here, but it has 28 inch wheels. The 24" wheels are different, the centers do not have nearly as much dish, and are round instead of star shaped. The rim attaches with 6 lugs, but the lugs are very heavy duty, they are solid steel with a hole drilled for the bolt, instead of the stamped ones like my 28" wheels have. Is this 24" wheel and rim a common option, and will standard 24" rims replace it? There is a rim advertised in the paper, but I can't get to my tractor to measure the spacing and want to make sure this will work before I buy it. Thanks for the help,
Josh

Josh..... ..standard ag-bar tires for NAA was 10-28 (now resized to 11.2-28 by your ever helpful gov't bureaucrats) My 8N has NON-standard 14.9-24 on 13" rims but the centers are a 6-spoke 8-lug DEEP-DISH adjustable spacing for MASSY-HARRIS. (before became Massy-Ferguson) I hope I never have to replace them WIDE suckers, great flotation on rainsoft pasture ground. It took me 10yrs of researching before I found out where/how my 8N had "monster-tires". I had to widen my front-axle so they'd match trailer ramp centers..... .Dell

Here is a pic of my Jube with 24" rims. The tires are 14.9 so the major OD is close to the std 28" rims. I don't know what the dimension of the dish is but these are welded rims to the dish so there is no adjustment.

Keith, I welded up a set of rims just like these for my old 640. Took a little work but came out very nice. I had put 14.9x24 turf tires on it for lawn mowing. Lots of flotation!
P.S. I like the plow on the front- wish I had one for my 861.

Keith, 24 inch rims were found on a lot of industrial tractors. Rick is right 28 inch rims with 12.4 or 13.6 tires is standard. We bought a 2000 one time with a set of 24 inch massey ferguson combine wheels on it. Some people put on what will fit the cheapest. Beleive it or not that 2000 came from the county DNR and they told us what they done. If you want your road speed back go to 28 inch rims. John

My dad's former 8N Funk V8 had welded up wheel just like that. They need more tire and I guess welding up a set was the easiest way. The tractor went to Palmer Fosum and the wheels are now on his NAA OHV Funk.

The 28" rim is the original and correct rim size for the NAA. Usually all of the loop style rims have similar spacing in their size range.
