What is the difference between the 172 ci engine and the 192 ci engine as far as outside differences. Also how many horsepower does the 192 have. Thanks

My 4400 gas has a 3 cyl 192 CID(BSD) and my 800 series has a 4 cyl 172 CID(USA).
172 CID, ca 45 to 48 pto HP
192 CID, ca 45 to 46 pto HP
The 800 is a little bomb, the 4400 is more "quiet".

I don`t think there is any external difference between the two.
As I understand it, the 192 is essentially a 172 without sleeves.
I don`t know about the horsepower.

I overhauled a 192 that was in a Hyster forklift several years ago. Best I remember the 172 head gaskets would not work on the 192 because of the larger sleeveless bore.
