I have a 1972 3 cyl ford gas 2000 tractor. I just rebuilt the carb but would like to know the adjustment procedure for the gas rich mix screw. I did a initial all the way in and 1.5 turns out. It runs but still could use some info.

thanks

I don't know much on that tractor but I would think carb adjustments would be about the same as any others. Some people say to open up the main jet till you get black smoke then turn it back in just till the smoke stops. Others say to open it up slowly till you have the power you think you should have and not have black smoke. Me I adjust them till I think I have the most power and they run well with out smoke and then say thats good
