I am looking for a replacement 12-24 rim or repair technique for my 1959 FORD 1811 Industrial rear tire. The calcium has eaten through the rim in a couple spots. Dealers can't locate a replacement. Please help. Thanks

I can't imagine that there's anything too magical about that size wheel. You might need to get a little creative about installing the loops on it, or whatever mounting hardware it has.... but he wheel size is plain as dirt. A&I and a variety of those suppliers should be able to get one (a blank wheel). I'm not vouching for the quality of A&I wheels... but they can be made to work if you're desparate enough.

You make a good point. Are there replacement loops available? And is there a good method of installing, welding, the loops on the blank? I've priced wheels locally, Eastern WA. and they're astrinomical. I would like to get blanks a make my own. The same size as what the poster needed. bjr

Yes, you can buy the loops too. They're a few bucks a piece from the same gang that sells the wheels. As to installing them.... I would set the wheel on it's bead on something smooth and flat like a big steel table or somethign of that nature. Then get the dish set up in place in the wheel and fit them up and weld them in. You would need to improvise some sort of jig like that anyway. Let the imagination run wild....
