What tractor meets my needs?

I have been researching compact/garden tractors and will eventually be purchasing a tractor, but I don't know where to begin. Here are my requirements: A)it must be powerfull enough to drive at least a 48" wide snow blower, B)have a separate PTO (unlike a Ford 8N which drives off the rear differential), C)be easy to get parts for, D)be reasonably dependable, and E)not TOO expensive to purchase. I'd also like to be able to mow with it. I can fabricate or adapt an implement (snow blower) to mount on just about anything. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Sounds to me like what you need is a 35 massy ferguson 6/f 2/r with live pto gas engine 34hp
price (here) starts at about 2500.00 up. or ca allis chalmers go from 600.00 up. A lot of these tractors were made. You would need one with hand clutch. I don,t know about parts for the ac
good luck

In the Ford / Ferguson lines, the oldest you would want to look at probably would be the Ford 600 series and the Ferguson TO35 Deluxe. Neither of those has power steering (generally), but they have most other useful features and they are usually very reasonable priced. The TO35 Deluxe has a high-low tranny with 6 speeds and has live PTO. Both are slightly over 30 horsepower. Prices range between $3k and $4k generally, and usually cheaper now than in the spring.
