The answer is yes if you do the following. The 601 hood sides only have provisions for anchoring the grill at the top and not at the bottom you'll have to remove the anchors and switch. Also, the hood center section (door) on the 801 series has had the hinge relocated to accept the larger fuel tank. Hope this helps.

Bennie; Here is a copy of a post from Kelly Jewell when I asked the same question a while back. Hope it helps.

"Glen, I'm putting some NOS sheet metal together for Dennis Carpenter to reproduce. First, the tractors you mention have two sets of holes for the hood sheet metal to attach. The 600/601 uses the lower set while the 800/801 series used the upper set. Look at the space bewtween the steering wheel and dash. Through 1957 the Ford script was in both hood sides. Dropped in 1958 and incorporated into the hood side decal. The center door was changed in 1958, hinges were relocated due to B9NN-9002-B fuel tank (bigger). Right hood side panel was changed in 1959 for the S.O.S. pto cable location. The hood down legs went through several changes to attach the different grills, including being sawed off for the Row Crop series. I think you can do what you want to do if you buy it all, but not if you mix it up....Kelly.

So, if I understood that correctly - it will bolt on but there may not be enough clearance for the larger 801 fuel tank?
