Hi -I"m looking to replace the cylinders on my Horn-draulic front-end loader that came with my Ford NAA. One cylinder is weaker holding loads than the other. The diameter of the cylinders are 10" and the length from pin hole to pin hole is approx. 61". I would pay shipping to Colorado if you"re out of state and have a set in good working order. Please reply if you have replacement parts or know a source.
Thanks.

You have got to have a slipped digit or something. There is NO WAY your cylinder is 10" in diameter. That would have 157,000 # of force at 2000 psi. You're talking about the size of cylinder that is used on a D8 cat. The rods for those cylinders would weigh more than your NAA.

Cylinders are measured by the bore diameter. The across distance from side to side of the inside of the cylinder. They also need to know the diameter of the rod that comes out of the cylinder. Last dimensions are the fully closed distance from pin center to pin center and the fully open distance. That is the Stroke of the cylinder.

Cylinders are then spec'ed as 2x1.25x36 with 41.5" retracted pin to pin spacing. That would be a 2" bore with a 1.25" rod and a 36" stroke.

A decent hydraulic shop can re-seal them with new packing or you can do it yourself.

J_B, I did wonder about the slipped digit too.... but I've seen as bad. Some of the engineers at Cranab skipped physics 101, and they designed/built a loader crane for a forwarder with about 6 inches of advantage on a 25 foot boom, and the requisite ~8" main lift cylinder. Sounds stupid. Looks stupid. Requires frequent welding and reinforcing.... but it does lift. so I only half wonder because I've seen a few odd things out there.....

Hydraulic cylinders are not rocket science to repair. Take them off and go to a reputable local machine shop that specialises in or does a lot of work with hydraulic cylinders. They will repair or reseal these ones for you. The seals should be easily available since most of that stuff is pretty common, and anything else can be made.
Given the dimensions you've listed, those are not going to be cheap cylinders to buy, or transport. Fix what you have.

To bad it seems to be a different model loader then the one I have parts for. I have a pair of cylinders for one that are around 4-5 foot when closed up and when out as far as they go around 8-9 foot. These cylinders are really a cylinder inside a cylinder since they have 2 parts that extend
