I"ve had enough with my vane pump on 1954 NAA. I know I can get a piston pump but what else do I need lines etc. And where can I buy it.

it got so weak, i replaced all o rings and gaskets on pump and lines and oil. i can't get it to prime. i've tryed the air in dipstick and everything else. Answer to your question I don't know yet.

Did you replace the shaft seal? Have you checked it since you had it apart? I have seen the seal lip folded over and it will suck air around the shaft.... hence NO prime! Let me know!

No, you will have to have the manifold for an NAA piston pump, new ones for around $125.00.

All you need is a piston pump and a new hydraulic manifold (line from the pump to the bottom of the tractor). You can still get these manifolds new, but the piston pumps must be obtained used, and usually need to be rebuilt ($40 kit or so) - but the pumps usually go for $300+. BTW - you can use the piston pumps from the 600/800 tractors as well.
