a five sixteenth bolt is way to small. The hole if it's a bush hog brand should be 1/2 in. if not drill out to 1/2 in. A 5' rotary cutter should require approximately the same HP to run. Go with the 1/2" grade 2 and you should be fine. bjr

5/16 is the size of the hole and the cutter is a Bush Hog Squealer, 5 ft. I think.

We sell Bush Hog equipment and some of the Squealer takes a 8mm grade 5. Avoid the metric with threads all the way to the head.If it has two ears that you alien and put bolt thru then it is 8mm X 35mm.
