Control positions to start my ford diesel tractor

I recently bought a 1957 vintage Ford diesel tractor. It is as 4 cylinder diesel with injection pump. It had been sitting and not running for 5 years. Not exactly sure what model it is. Based on pictures I have sen it is not a 8N or 9N or a 2000, 3000 styles. But it is a late 1950s vintage. I need to know where the throttle lever (located right under the steering wheel to the right) should be positioned to start, and I need to know what position the pull lever (located on the dash to the right of the steering wheel and below the throttle lever) should be (in or out). This pull lever controls a small lever on the top of the injection pump. The engine sounds like it wants to start but without knowing the correct starting position of the controls I dont think I can get it going.
Thank you for your help

Regarding your starting issue with your tractor. I recently purchased a 4000 and your configuration sounds similiar to mine. Throttle on the right under the steering wheel and the fuel shut off on the dash under the throttle. In my case that mechanism on top of the injector pump has to be moved forward towards the radiatior in order for it to start. The cable is not strong enough to push it back after you pull it out to shut it off. Hope this helps. Dick

The Roosa Master pump originally installed on the 601/801 Diesels used only one control- the throttle lever. Pushing the throttle lever all the way forward (up) shut off the fuel and killed the engine. Pulling the lever all the way aft (down) was full speed. When starting my 861D I put the throttle lever in the middle of its range of travel.
Having said all of that there is an electric fuel shutoff solenoid available for these pumps and some owners have added it to theirs. Is your throttle lever connected to the pump? There is a shaft that goes from the lever down to a bellcrank under the battery and then a rod runs to a lever on the back side of the pump. This is the factory setup. If yours is disconnected then perhaps the other pull lever you are talking about is now your throttle.
Post photos if possible.
