I just bought a 4000 with a woods dual loader and do I love it. It has two problems that the seller did tell me about. The power steering cylinder leaks. I see there is a rebiuld kit available for it. Should I try to rebiuld it or replace it? If replace, whom might I get one from?

Thanks
Eric

Just rebuilt both power steering cylinders on mine. A new cylinder is about $250 so unless the shaft is bent, the cylinder can be rebuilt for about $35 a side. I got the rebuild seals from NH, both sides for about $70. Maybe you can find cheaper ones in the after market ? Anyhow, it's easy, toughest part is getting the metal keeper out, and new one in. Just keep an eye on how the seals come out and in which direction. you have to pull of the ball joint off the shaft so you can slide the old seals off and the new ones on. My $.02
