I searched the archives for a NAPA part number for a oil filter for my 4 cylinder 4000. I found two 1515 & 1452, what is the difference?

Might wind up getting the float at NH as the aftermarket kit we just got didn't include the float and it was the main piece we needed but NH had it and it wasn't to spendy, $18, I think. bjr

1452 is 'closer' to the CNH filter.. while the 1515 is more of an automotive filter.. however.. EITHER fit fine. A motorcraft FL1A fits fine.. and a Fram PH8A fits fine.

All are 'close enough'..

The actual CNH number crosses to a napa 1452 by the application chart.

The cnh number corsses to a fram ph8a on frams site. pha8 crosses to a 1515 at napafilters site.. etc.... etc.. etc..

I used to use the 1515.. but now use the 1452 if i do get a napa filter.. or a fl1a if i am at autozone.. or a fram ph8a if at tsc or walmart.. etc.

Would NAPA also have the carb re-build kit? There is a NAPA 2 blocks from where I work.

Around here the NAPA's also have ag equipment books on the counters. The better stores will be able to get what ever you need. Better is based on the counter person.....

I never tried to get a ford rebuild kit from them, but they did have the IH rebuild kit i needed for my cub.. so.. it won't hurt to ask.
