My temp guage isn't working. I tried to remove the sender to replace it, but it is VERY tight and I quit trying because I was afraid I would break it off in the block. How can I tell if the tractor is getting hot without the guage. It runs great and the last thing I need is to blow the head gasket.

Are you sure the sending unit is bad? Remove your wire from it and ground it to a bolt head.If the guage works with it grounded then replace the sender.I've changed them before that were very tight and don't remember ever breaking one.Just use a six point socket and it should come out.
