Let me say that I am not familiar with the details of your Jubilee but here's some things, common to all spark ignition engines, to check out. You didn't say whether you have a 6V generator or a 12V alternator electrical system. When it starts "cutting out" shutdown, pull the center wire out of the distributor cap and hold it near a good ground and try to restart. It won't start but you should see a FAT, BLUISH-WHITE SPARK. If you don't, the problem is in your ignition system. Check out the primary wiring, the points, etc. Make sure the small wire connecting the coil to the distributor is attached to the coil terminal with the same sign as your battery ground. Feel the coil. Is it really hot. Could be you have a 6V coil on a 12 V system with out a current limiting resistor in series so it's overheating. Look for dirty corroded or loose wires in the primary circuit. put a jumper across your key switch to see if it has high resisitance. If you have the requiste FAT, BLUISH-WHITE SPARK, I would check the timing AND the advance system and if they are operating correctly Make sure that the firing order is correct. Check the distributor cap for cracks and the distributor fr wear in the shaft/bushing. If that all checks out, I would then move to check out the fuel delivery. Make sure that you have full fuel flow to the carb inlet. If you do, then you might have an improperly adjusted float valve in your newly rebuilt carb or you put in the wrong power jet. Those things may not allowing enough fuel into the carb at max power. Do these checks systematically and record the results of what you find. Get back here if you need more help.
