Kinda gets my goat every time I see one advertised like this. Why can't people who sell items on eBay take the time and trouble to find out what they've got before they list it???? '52 indeed

From looking at for sale ads, it's amazing how many 1952 (or 1953) 8N's and 1939 9N's were built. You would think Ford made most of the N tractors in those two years.

The guy selling it probably believes it is a 1952 8N. Most likely who ever he got it from told him that and he believed it. You wouldn't believe how many 9Ns are sold to people that where sold as 9Ns and the person didn't know better. Its sad to see things like this but it happen all the time. Tob ad more people don't know about sites like this one so they can learn about things

Yep.. makes you wonder how well they maintained them since they don't know the year. If that guy went in to get points from napa and said he had a 52 8n.. he'd get the wrong set.. so really makes you wonder how well it has been cared for..

just how hard is it to lookup a serial number?!?!

I can get the wrong parts from NAPA without giving an incorrect model number. That's why we call it No Ag Parts Available.

ROFLMAO!
At least around here they make no expressions of being able to get ag parts... Any time I've asked they simply look at me, tell me I know more about that than they do, and ask if I need something else....
At one time they carried a catologue from Fawcett's, but I could get the same preice from Fawcett, they told me such, and I'd be better off dealing with them directly...
Actually, these guys are pretty good to deal with. No crap from them anyway, and they are good on the auto end.
