Going to adjust the brakes on my 1956 640. Owners manual says clockwise, shop manual says counter clockwise.
So I don’t waste time and energy, which is it, or is it both.

On automobiles it was simple, if you were hitting your knuckles on the axles, you were going the right way. Same hold true for a tractor?

Both my owners and shop manual shows the say thing. Clockwise to tighten. That makes them left hand thread if my thinking is straight.

It depends entirely on which way the adjuster assembly was installed by the last guy who had them apart.
