My wife had relocated her fathers Ford tractor I looked behind the starter like I read on these forums and it states I have a 641. We went and bought new rear tires for it and in the process of putting the tires on I bent the rim and I woukld like to go ahead and replace them but the only wheels I find is the loop type. It has a 8 bolt pattern in the middle the tire size is 11.2 X 28 Any help on finding wheels would help thanks. I also have anotgher problem The 3popint hitch doesnt lift as high as I think it should it only lifts our box blade about 4-6 inches off the ground.I keep reading about hydrolic pumps on 641 fords But I have yet to find one on this tractor not unless it is the housing somewhere.please help me if you can.

The most common tire size for a 641 is 12.4x28. If I were buying new tires I'd put 12.4's on it. Preferred rim width for this tire is 11 inches wide.
Replacing the cam follower pin and make proper adjustments should cure the lifting problem.

Ok I will loook at the rims and see about the loops. So I would just have to buy the outer rims if this is the case then right? How do i go about measuring the outer rim? Now about the hydrolic problem I unbolt the cover under the seat and Then how do I adjust the linkage? or clean the stuck valves as yall we're saying?

3 point lift in reply to Noob, 10-25-2007 03:27:35
The problem with your 3 point lift is a common sign of a worn cam follower pin. Search the archives of this site for "cam follower pin" and you will find a large amount of information. You must remove the lift cover from your tractor to replace the cam follower pin and you can adjust the linkage while you're in there. I'm sure you will find reference to a cam follower pin replacement kit sold by ZANE when you search the archives.

Don't you have loop rims on that tractor; or do you have power adjust rims.

The loop rim comes in 2 pieces. The center section has 8 bolt holes in the center and 6 bolt holes where it mounts to the outer rim. The outer rim (the piece I assume you need) has 6 loops on it to match the 6 bolts on the inner rim.
For 11.2x28 tires you would need the 9x28 rims. You can get them from this site for about $100 each.
Power adjust rims would be alot more.

Your hyd pump is in the same spot as the starter just on the other side of the tractor. Your problem is more likely to be adjustment of the internal linkage in the hyd cover under the seat by the problem you describe. If the pump were bad I think it would not go up at all or real slow. Not traveling the full reach sound like linkage problems.

You can find rear rims on this web site new just be sure to measure & order right width. The hyd pump is in front of battery on right side the tack drive screws into back of it. They are very good pumps and dont usually give much trouble most hyd problems are in unit under seat either worn or dirty or stuck valves
