801 series remote psi ?

What is the psi that I might expect on a remote hydraulic valve on a Ford 801 tractor?

A related question is how much weight can be lifted with a remote on this system. Reason I ask is that someone told me I couldn't operate a bat-wing finish mower with an 801 because the hyraulic pressure wouldn't lift the wings on the mower, regardless of whether the tractor had enough pto hp.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

yep.. old is dead on.. 1950-2050.. and if it produces less, then you need to read section 313+ ont he hyd repair section of the fo-20 manual.

That 200PSI should read 2000PS. Book say if all if correct you should get a reading on a pressure gauge between 1950-2050psi. Sorry about missing the one 0

I think the amount weight lifted will be a function of the geometry of the cyl hookups, and the size of the cyl's. I honestly can't tell you if a 800 will cycle the wings on a batwing. I know my 5000 and 7610s WILL... never tried on my 660 or 850.

My book is at home. though i believe the hyd pressure on the hundred series is in the neighborhood of 1500-1700 psi, and flow rate is 4gpm at rated rpm. ( I know my 7610s is 2500psi and about 9gpm.. and i believe the 5000 is 6gpm.. though don't remember the psi off the top of my head.. )

I know my 850, using a loader plumbed off the hyd top cover will lift a 1000# bale of rolled hay with no issues other than trying to flatten my front tires.

Maybee someone else here has some batwing exp on a smaller tractor that can answer.

So what ya got? a 10' batwing?

good luck, and post back with pics!

Hyd pressure as per the I-T manual should be around 200psi give or take just a little bit. But an 801 will only handle say a 7 foot deck if even that. Common size brush hog for one it 6 foot
