I picked up a really sraight Super Dexta Diesel from an estate sale yesterday. I've never owned or even seen one of these before so I bought it, very different looking tractor. Can someone fill me in on where these tractors were made, I can't find much data on it. Thanks everyone!

Well done, you've got yourself a great little workhorse - a classic from the sixties still in use on many small livestock farms in the UK. My 1961 model, the predecessor to the "Super" version, is the tractor I can use all year round no matter how muddy the fields. It has a light footprint and you can go just about anywhere without causing damage to the ground. Get yourself a transport box for the 3 point hitch and it will be a very handy outfit.

You've got one of the best little tractors ever made. Very comperable to the MF35. Bought mine new in Nov.1963 and still have it.Only thing to watch is to check and regularily change the oil in the injection pump. Uses the same oil that you use in the motor and should be changed every 100hrs along with the engine oil. Level plug is on the side of the pump (1/2" wrench)with drain on underside of pump(same size wrench). Fill plug on upper side (15/16" wrench). Be very carefull when tightening these plugs as the housing is aluminium and threads are easily stripped. Great selection of gearing in the transmission. I have absolutly no idea as to hours on my tractor as the hour meter stopped 30 yrs ago at 3300hrs, although the tach still works.

Super Dexta made in England, has 3 cyl Perkins engine to best of my knowledge. 3 speed transmission with high - low range, giving it 6 speeds. Latest Super Dextas had gray hood, blue engine and transmission, gray wheels. Earlier ones were all blue. To add to confusion, the late Supers were called 2000 Super Dextas. Also there were Ford 2000s, with 4 cylinder gas engines, painted solid blue. Saw one the other day with turf tires, for sale. For additional confusion, Ford came out with 3 cyl gas and diesel engines in a 2000 version that went along with the 3 cyl 4000s and the 4 cylinder 5000s.
