Alchohol has no place in your hydraulic fluid. Since water is heavier than oil, you can maybe use an NTP pipe bushing matched to the drain plug hole with an 1/8" NTP hole for a 1/8" pipe plug and drain water off occasionally. The tractor will have to have been sitting for some time to allow the water to settle.(I used this technique on a JD435 I used to have stored outside in the Seattle area.)
If the source of your water is condensation,, you eed to use your tractor more since the oil heats up with use (via friction and windage) and the water will vaporize. Otherwise, the only other way to minimize condensation is to keep the tractor in as near a constant temperature environment as possible.

I believe the isopropyl alcohol you buy in the stores is part water anyway, and I would not want to dump any more water into the system. Your best solution is to get the tractor inside and warm it up with heaters to melt the ice. Once it is completely melted (as ice will break the hydraulic pump when you engage the PTO), start the tractor and warm it up. Then while warmed up (and engine off), drain all the fluid and refill with new oil. If the hydraulics are freezing up, you have water in the oil and this is never a good thing.

Why would you need alcohol in your hydraulics?
I know alcohol and diesel do not mix with each other. If you have water in your hydraulics, you better find out why it is getting in there and fix the problem. I would not recommend putting the alcohol in there. Drain and refill with new oil.

thanks for the replies, I have had the hydraulic system all apart and cleaned fully even to wiping down the inside of the sump with rags, the oil is perfectly clean but the temp and humidity tends to create condensation that freezes here, The isopropyl alcohol I am referring to is the stuff that is sold as a water gatherer for gas tanks on vehicles, so it shouldnt be too hi a % of water I wouldnt think, Just wondering if it would hurt the hydraulics Thanks again for input.

The pump will mix the water and oil.If it gets bad enough the oil will turn white.A lot of water gets into old Fords thru the shift lever.Worked on one that had a tennis ball on it instead of the proper boot.Alcohol may attack the seals.
