Firstly I wanted to say thanks for the help. I have posted a few questions here and the replies were very helpful. Thanks to everyone for the help.

I do however have a couple more questions. After the new parts have been installed I should now change all the fluids. The very large(~2")front plug with an internal metal screen under the oil pan is to drain the oil. There are a few other ~1" plugs from front to rear for the tranny, hydro, and then the differential. Is the tranny fill plug the very large plug right after the gear shift lever? Where about the others?

I have also been looking for a carb adjustment diagram for the tsx 580. All the links I found in the archive lead to dead pages. There was one diagram that was extremely blurry and seemed to be for another MS carb with features not on the 580.

Again thanks for the help.

Have a BIG bucket to catch the fluid. A two gallon pail won't do it. Engine oil, Trans fluid, hydraulic fluid and rear end dopewill be measured in gallons not quarts.

The trans fill plug is on top the trans cover next to the gear shift; the hyd. fill plug is under the seat and looks like the trans plug; the differential is on top of the differential and also looks like the trans and hyd. fill plugs.

I don't know what you mean by a "carb adjustment diagram", but here is a photo that shows the adjustment screws. If you need a diagram of the carb let me know. Hope this helps.
