I've got a small leak from the lower lift arm bolt on the adjustment-arm side (right side) of the rear differential housing - on a 3000.

How hard a job is it to pull the RH trumpet back and tighten this bolt from the inside?

Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I had the same problem when my '70 3000 was 5 years old.
Had a dealership do the work and all I can recall was the torque was very high in order to stop the leaking. It worked!!!
Good Luck

You need to take the wheel off first and then the row of bolts that holds the bearing hub onto the end of the axle housing so you can pull the axle. Then take out the bolts that hold the trumpet housing to the differential.

It is possible to pull the whole assembly out if you have the equipment but you will have one heck of a time getting it back on in one piece.
