I bought a plug blaster from J.C. Whitney about 25 years ago.

It's proven to be one of my most used tools, and has paid for itself many times over.

I use it on just about everything including my tractor plugs.

"for tractors.. unsually not worth much..."

That's a STRANGE comment... NOTHING wrong with cleaning tractor spark plugs, and long as one has the time, and is careful to get all abrasive out of the cleaned plug.

Yeah, them old airpressure operated sparkie cleaners worked, kinda hard on the center porcelain insulator. Now days, with no-lead gas, its generally better to replace the contaminated sparkies than to count on abrasive cleaned sparkies for long term sparkie life. New sparkies $2.50 (cheap)..... ..Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister

More important than worrying about abrading away the insulator is the worry that abrasive particles will get stuck between the insulator tip and the metal shell of the spark plug, then dislodge and scratch the cylinder wall.

If you DO decide to use it, get the correct grit (it's finer than blasting sand) so it's not so likely to jamb in the splug.

After blasting, use the blaster's "air only" function, then CLOSELY examine the plug tip for abrasive particles, blowing them out with another shot of air, if necessary.

I'm not sure WHAT the media that is sold specifically for these little blaster is.

Seems to me, somewhere along the line, I read something about using ground walnut shell media in them???
