Hi there,
What happens if a SOS gearbox is not completely in the "park" position and it is still possible to start? Will it be possible to start or not?

If the safety start switch is malfunctioning it certainly is possible for it to start in something other than Park. Not a good situation. It is possible for the starter to turn the engine, and the engine to start in any gear. Fix that switch. Dan Robertson

Hi Bart; May be Tony J will jump in on this one but; If you can start the tractor in other than PARK this is a very dangerous situation. When the selector is in the park position the cam on the internal trans. control valve depresses the actuating ball on the safety switch. This in turn completes the ground for the starting circut. It is not energized until you operate the starter switch. Sounds like your cable from the selector to the control valve needs to be adjusted, or possibly the internal safety switch needs adjustment.
