My dad just bought a really nice, unrestored early 2000. He"s began to look for the correct paint colors to put it back right. Is there any differences in ford blues? Some suppliers are asking him if he wants "old ford blue" or "new ford blue".....is there a difference?

4 cylinder 2000 old Ford Blue

3 cylinder 2000 new Ford Blue

Your local New Holland dealer will have the paint in stock, take a look at the cans and they will have dates on them when that specific color was used.

The new Ford Blue will have dates like 65/96 for 1965 to 1996. Be aware there is a New Holland Blue, but it is more purple compared to the Ford Blue.

Well, dad is needing the old ford blue, since it's one of the early, round hood tractors. So, he's asking me if the Tisco "Ford Empire Blue" is correct as the old ford blue?

Not sure about the Tisco paints. My sugesstion would be to get a Tisco color chart and compare it to a New Holland color chart. Since Ford sold out in 1996 it will not have Ford on New Hollands color chart just dates and short description, like Light Grey or Dark Grey. Hope I helped,
Brian

Now that's funny! Yeah, new ford blue is a lot more $$, especially when it's on new ford steel!

You missed it. You have old ford blue thru '64, new ford blue till Ford sold out, and newholland blue on todays high $$$ to which you refer. They are 3 distinctively different colors and they look like pffffft when mixed.
