Ariens purchase of the New Holland S-12 was Ariens first step into Garden Tractors in the early 70's. They put their name and colors on the S-12/S-14/S-16. Then came the GT series which was the same style etc but larger engines. Ariens discontinued the Garden Tractor line several years ago but you should still be able to get most chassis parts from an Ariens dealer.

I had one of these I sold a few years ago.
Mine was a 1972 model. I had the owners and parts manual with mine. Mower was in great shape. Nice little mowers. Mine had a 12 hp Briggs on it. Ariens bought them out. Parts are hard to find for them. I went to the NH dealer and they couldn"t get parts for them. I didn"t like the ugly green color of them. But they were solid. Mine had felt type carpet from the factory on the foot boards. Lots of info. on them on the net. Google New Holland S12 or go to the garden tractor forum. Lots of guys there helped me with mine years ago.
good luck.

I believe the Ariens went by same basic numbers. So you'll be looking for S-12,s-14,etc. Did you get this one on eBay ? Saw one there at good price recently. They are good tractors, just older ( I believe '71 -'72) and getting harder to get parts for.
