In middle tennesse, a diesel with power steering, spin out wheels and hydraulic remote goes for $4500 (little rough)to $7500 (cherry). Gas burners are not high in price. Even if it is a gas burner it is still a great tractor. If the tractor is in good conditon my guess is $4500 to $5000 is about right. Just my guess.

p.s. If you look for while (6 to 12 months) you can find a good diesel ( you will not regret it)

Here in central PA, you can't touch one for less than $5000 from a dealer. You might get lucky at an estate auction, but they are holding their prices even at auction.

Hi,
If it is in good condition and only has 3500 hours it would go for 6-7000 big ones in MI

Jimjack; 3500 total hours is low time, but is only a indicater to what the shape could be.Agree with other post's! If it is "clean" I think you would pay around $4000. in this area, that is if you could find one!, if it is really cherry, maybe more. The PS is a "BIG" plus.

I agree with the other response regarding maintenance. Hours alone can't tell enough. As far as price, I don't know what area of the country you're in, but in NW Indiana, you can't get a 2000-4000 series for under $4000, no attachemnts either. And it's hard to find any at all they are sucked up so fast. I bought a 2000 diesel last summer for $2500, but it was just a step away from the salvage yard. I figure I'll spend about $2500 fixing her up, and have a pretty new / old tractor for about what I would spend for a decent used one in my area. My $.02

If you figure the tractor is about 30 years old, 4,500 hours means about 150 hours per year, which means about 3 hours per week (assuming equal use over the years). That is not much. However, lack of maintenance and abuse can age a tractor quick. Was it stored inside a barn, was it maintained, does it operate properly? Those are the important points. I bought a '66 3000 diesel, with a Woods 6' mower and a 7' blade for $2,000. The tractor needed some cosmetic fixes, and I am in the process of repainting/fixing all of it. It was stored outside. The hour meter stopped at 1,400 hours. I have no idea of the true hours, but the engine runs very strong, it starts right up and everything works (although I am rebuilding the hydraulics). I think I got a real steal. Good luck.
