I'm restoring a Jubilee and the tool box is nearly all rusted out and half gone. Also a makeshift lid had been welded in to replace original tool box door. A metal fabricator friend has offered to rebuild it and replace the door if I can find him a picture or a good destription. A close-up photo or a rough drawing even would help. Any sources of information appreciated.

Jack - I've cut and pasted a post of mine from a couple of years ago. Hope it helps.
P.S. Merry Christmas

"The box didn't cost me anything. Had it made at work from some "scrap" material. Believe we used 12 gage, and it measures about 5-5/8 X 11-3/4 X 2- 1/2. Don't know if this is the same size as the original, cause mine was too far gone to get good measurements, but it fits in the opening and looks good. We made a 1" flange on the top side of both ends of the box, and welded on a 3/4" by 14", 12 gage brace to the top outside edge and bolted the box to the edge and top of the running board. If you do make one, be sure to drill a couple of holes in the bottom to drain out any water that gets in. Sorry I can't post a picture or drawing- don't have the equipment at this time to do so. Good luck :>) "

Mike,
Thank you for the information. I needed those measurements and Jim from Utah furnished me with a photo of the finished product. Both of you have been very helpful and it is appreciated.
Merry Christmas to both of you.

JIM
Thanks so much. just what I had hoped to find. I also had a nice reply from Mike in Ohio with the dimensions for the box. Between the two of you, I think my problem is solved. Thanks again,
Jack Cecil
