Do the transmission and rear end on the 4500 use the same oil resovoir? Manual shift, no shuttle clutch. I changed oil in the transmission today but am not sure if that also applies to the rear end (approx 3 gallons to fill). I found two fill level plugs on the right side near the foot plate. One definitely applies to the transmission. Not sure about the other, located about 6-8 inches behind the transmission plug. I see no oil flow from it.
Thanks.

This intrests me, For me to check the fluid in the diff on my 4500...I have to remove a square head check plug on the trans housing (at the foot rest on the draft / positioner side), because there isn't a dipstick..... I'm glad they use the same fluid.....sl
