I bought a used 801 with a faulty electrical system that bypassed the ignition. I recently bought a new elctrical system (12 V Diesel) with solenoid regulator and all new switches. I looks like everything is wired correctly but it seems like the system is not getting any power. Help!

As the others said.. you aren't giving us much to go on. Short of 'casting the bones'.. we are making guesses.

Assuming you have a 12v B circuit genny from a diesel ford.. have you polarized the regulator by jumpering BAT to FLD temporarilly, then restarted it and taken a voltage check at the batttery, compaired to a voltage check with it not running. Not running should be 12-12.6v.. running should be 13+v..

Old style analog meters work best making these checks..

Have you used a voltmeter or test light to see if you have power any where in the system? We can't help you if you can't tell us any more than it doesn't seem like it's getting power.

Andy; You don't say whether you installed an alternator or stayed with the generator. It would be very helpful to know. When you say "it seems like the system is not getting any power" do you mean it is not charging? You also mention ans "solenoid regulator". Are you speaking of the solenoid also called the starter relay?

Come back with some more info on the system and someone can help you. Do you have a manual? It's always a wise investment.
