4000 Diesel Blowing Oil From Breather

My 4000 diesel has started blowing oil from the breather vent on the valve cover when the RPMs are at 1200 or higher. At higher RPMs it also blows out of the filler tube, with the cap on. The engine seems to be running fine, no different than earlier this year, and I did not notice any problem like this earlier in the year (late summer) when running the bush hog at high RPMs.
I just installed a new radiator and was running at high RPMs to heat up the motor to get the thermostat to open to bleed the cooling system. This is when it first started.
I can understand some blow by as the engine was rebuilt in 1977, but I have no idea how many hours have been put on it since then as the hour meter cable was broken when I bought the tractor.
I did pull the valve cover to make sure the oil drain back holes were clear. I found that there are no drain back holes. The oil drains back past the push rods, and the engine is very clean inside. No crud build up on the valve springs or rockers.
Is there a vent somewhere else I should be looking to unclog?

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Chris

I hate to say this, but, sounds like time for an over-haul. If we are talking that much blow-by prob. a broken piston. Before you tear into it check compression on each cylinder. I'd say there is one that will read 0.

Good luck!
