I just got done using John from LA diagram for installing a 12 volt conversion on my 860. Very pleased with the result. I used the one with the car ignition switch instead of a diode or light. Also used 4 post starter relay. Installed a volt guage I got off of EBay.

Here's a link to one provided by John in LA. You might be interested to know that in 1953 the only tractor offered by Ford was the NAA/Golden Jubilee. The 800 series began production in late 1954 for introduction as 1955 models.

It's basically a copy of the diagram found in the Ford Tractor Shop Manual which is available as a reprint from a number of sources. Original copies of that manual also show up on ebay fairly regularly.

If you want to do something different, John in LA also has diagrams for various versions of a 12 Volt conversion. He's the one who should get the credit for making the diagrams available online.
