Texasmark said: (quoted from post at 11:08:13 04/23/08) From the name of your post I suppose you show a picture of a piece of sheet metal and we guess what it is?????

If so, how about the snauze sheet metal off an NAA that the decal/id plate mounts in.

Good afternoon Mark,

Soundguy is redoing a 951 trike he just bought from awhtx. The tease is waiting to see the finish product. He's done more in the last two months than I will in two years. Keep up the good work Soundguy. :D

Its about time you posted a picture! Keep 'em coming. They're inspirational. My 861 is still sitting on the trailer, still not running.

Rumor has it my wife is going off with her girlfriends tonight.. and thus leaving me alone at the house... I don't have to work tonight.. so i might just get lucky and get another hood section buffed down.. maybee if real lucky, I can get the hood sections primered?

I also want to re-shoot one piece I had shot before.. I didn't like the finish.

Hood center section turned out nice.. looks like 'red glass'

Sounder,

Did you have a lot of fun with the little bolts that hold that centerpiece in place???

I had lots of fun with all them blasted fine thread bolts.. ESPECIALLY the studs that are in the little cast aluminum bases that hold the doglegs to the front bolster.. Took propane heat, pd oil, a wire wheel and lots of working the nuts back and forth to get them off. Studs were partially 'waisted' at the base.. so i was trying not to shear them off.. managed to get the nuts off and clean the threads. Found new fine thread nuts at the hardware store... Will probably assemble all the sheet metal with never-seize so the next poor soul that takes it apart will have an easier time!
