Hello,

I just bought a 79 Ford 340 industrial. The ignition switch was taken apart and I had to hot-wire it to get it home. I think I have it put together properly, but there are two lights that flicker intermittently. One is the second from the left and looks like a tapered arrow with a bunch of dots in it and one is on the far right that looks like an upside down key-hole with a tear drop in it.

Any ideas what those lights are? Any ideas why they might be flickering?

Thanks in advance.

The first you describe is the air filter restriction indicator. The second is the low engine oil pressure indicator. They are powered together and a flicker indicates an intermittent short to ground in the circuit or borderline low oil pressure or a borderline plugged air filter.

Thanks!

Anybody happen to have a wiring diagram handy? I'm thinking the oil pressure is ok. From what I hear, the lights been off and on for a while, and it still doesn't miss a beat.

Where will I find the oil sensor and air flow sensors?

Also, what's the big knob on the side attached to the air cleaner for?

Also, was there ever a hot injector on this tractor? (pre-heat) Was one of the wires that I connected to the ignition for that? There seemed to be one extra.

I really need a wiring diagram.

Thanks again.
