What are the differnces between the 8970 and the 8970A?I think the A series is utility if I am not mistaken.Any help would be appreciated Thanks.

Rick basically has it in a nutshell. The A series was an ammended (updated) version of the number series. It was not a different tractor (utility as opposed to row crop).

The A series had the "new blue" paint too.

Not too many 200hp 'utility' tractors out there. The A series Genesis tractors have a Carrera front axle instead of the Dana axle used on the original 70 series, as well as electronically controlled remote valves in lieu of the conventional cable style. There may be other differences, but I believe the front axle and remotes are the biggies. Front duals are approved for the Carrera axle but not for the Dana.
