Hello Alan , See how 1959 has some of these early date code letters like the 100 series tractors , that is what I was talking about in the email I sent you . Thanks Tony Jacobs

Some people fall in a field and come up smelling like a rose! (Where as I fall in a bed of rose peddles and come out covered in cow pies!)

Looks like a new resto project!

Definitely a restoration project.... in reply to john_bud, 05-15-2008 20:28:00
I forgot to mention that it obviously went through the factory transmission recall/swap. Trans housing is dated Aug 11, 1959 and the rest is dated late 1958 or early 1959. It looks like the dealership that did the trans swap followed the rules and restamped the tractors original serial number (65380) in the original location. Do I recall reading on this forum that the number stamped on the right side (2925) is a Work Order number or something similar?

Hello Again Alan , The number on the right side is the serial number stamped by the factory to track the transmissions after they left the factory and then back to the dealer then to the customer incase it was serviced or warrantied by a non-selling dealer . Thanks Tony Jacobs
