brake bleeding on 6000?

OK, I know a few of us have 6000s, so I'm hoping some of us have shop manuals. I read nothing on the subject of bleeding the brake lines in my manual.

Here's the long story: the brakes on "my" '63 6000 were bad ever since the guy we bought the tractor from reefed on 'em to adjust the rear wheel width...I think he blew the o-rings out. Well, fast-forward a few years...I replaced all the o-rings in the brake control valve a couple years ago, and only had brakes at the very bottom of pedal travel, which was an improvement, albeit minor.

So I figured I didn't do something right, and bought another brake valve on eBay. Bolted it up, and same deal...I only have brakes if I stomp like hell on the pedal. Now what I'm wondering is if the brake lines can get air trapped in them. I'm familiar with hydraulic brakes in a car, but not the ones on a 6000. I don't see any bleeders, and there's no reference (that I can see) on how to bleed them in the shop manual.

If there's a way to bleed these brakes, how does one do it?

Thanks in advance....

Pat

Well, that's pretty much what I was thinking, but thought I should ask. Thanks for the help...time to see what the manual has to say on troubleshooting.

Bleeding is not necessary. If you dont have brakes your problem is somewhere else.
