I used the 12-volt wiring diagram from N-series.com, and one of the resistors in the pack from Radio Shack p/n 271-132.

I switched my system to 12volts about 2 years ago. I have developed a short and the tractor no longers starts. It only get fire to certain points. I need a diagram of the 12 volt setup system to follow.I do not have the original papers. If you have such an item I would be interested in getting a copy. The place I purchased my 12volt kit is not in Chapter11.

What kind of altnator did you get in the kit that will tell the story
If your tractor will not start disconect
hot wire that goes to the altnator
get A hot battery
If all else OK should start
by the way A altnator will not charge a dead battery It will only keep a hot one chared
you can call me 337 457 7212
Have a good day

Go to Radio Shack and get a 1N4000 and install it with the marking Band toward the alternator.
