Does anybody know if a 3000, (1973), will handle a 3-bottom plow? Or should I stick to a 2? Thanks, Festus

I have a 65 3000 diesel, it would probably handle a 3 bottom in soft ground, but in most soils it would be best to stay with 2.

I've got a 66 3000 gas and I have pulled 2 16's with it, but that give's it all it can handle in 4th or if the ground is real soft 5th gear. I'd say stick with 2, but I'm no expert. Hope this helps.

I have a '69 gas 3000 and I have 2 14's that I use with it. My 8N pulls this plow, but the 3000 handles it with ease. I believe that a 3 bottom plow would be a little too much for the 3000.
