I HAVE A HOLLY CARB AND HAVE TO RUN IT HALF CHOKE FOR THE TRACTOR TO RUN. I KNOW ITS GETTING LOTS OF GAS TO THE CARB. COULD THERE BE SOMETHING STUCK IN THE CARB? ANY IDEAS?

Yes, you have some gunk plugging the main jet. Possibly a can of Mr. Carb Magic Cleaner might fix it, or open the needle a little, or take it apart and clean it.

Sounds like a possible intake vacuum leak. Spray carb/choke cleaner around the intake manifold gasket area, while engine is idleing; If engine speeds up or stumbles, there's your leak. If nothing happens, gasket's OK. Be careful not to spray flammable aerosols onto a hot exhaust manifold; it could ignite..!!! As always, good luck!
