After my '67 4000 diesel warms up, the oil pressure light starts coming on. I changed the oil & filter. I also screwed a guage in where the pressure switch mounts and it averages about 50psig when idling, and about 70psig at about 1500rpm (the guage I have is hard to read because of vibration). Is that enough pressure? What pressure is the pressure switch supposed to alarm?

Assuming your remote gauge is reading correctly, you have plenty of pressure.Suspect faulty oil pressure sending unit. These switches trip at around 10 PSI. These engines do not have a history of oil pressure problems.
