I aquired a major diesel with another tractor in a package deal The diesel motor is supposed to have been run out of oil Is the injection pump and other parts worth much as I dont want to keep any thing of this tractor

The parts are worth something to someone. If you knew what year it was would help assess the value. Say it is a later model year such as a 1963, the pump is worth more. The rear end, lift, and hydraulics would also be worth a bit as it could be installed on an earlier model Major. Find out what year the tractor is??

Usually the engine can be salvaged. It just needs someone that is willing to go to the trouble to do it. Not an easy task. I would suggest that you sell the whole thing to a party that is willing to bring it back into service.

where is the serial number??? I called nearest fodr dealer ad he didnt have a clue The original dealer (decal on side) is no longer a ford dealer Any help is apprecated.

Look at some of the posts on this site about dating these tractors.There is plenty of chat on this topic.It should be a seven digit number above the injection pump on the block.

What do you want for the tractor?How is the sheet metal?I am close engough it might be worth my while if the price is right.

sheet metal is ok I will have my wife take picts to e mail from her address. As to price I am not sure yet as I want thr rear tires as they are wxcellet and the loader should be sold seperate as wellas the prince pto pump send youe e mail to billsbarntractors@wbtv.net and I will have wife send pictures
