Hi John,
Is it a super major and does it have power steering? I'm looking for a power steering cylinder for my super major. Also interested in a hood if the metal is in good shape. What is the serial number.

John, I kinda have the same questions Jim has about the status of the tractor. I have one also, but it has the 54E backhoe attachment. The engine block on mine is busted and cannot be repaired, plus the bucket for the loader is basically worn out. The back hoe is in pretty good shape though from what I can tell. So just need to get her going again. Thanks Robert in North Carolina.

the engine does not run but the block may be good
it has a sherman hoe their is no bucket on the loader

My hoe is a Sherman as well. The frontend loader really looks to be home made so it probably is not original. Is the tractor basically complete? Do you have a serial # that I can look up to see what year it is? It will be on a tag on the firewall between the engine and the battery box or is stamped on the bell housing flange there by the starter. What part of Virginia are you located in? have a sherman backhoe on my fordson major diesel. The problem is that the hydraulic pump is missing that powered the backhoe. The pump attached to the right side of the tractor below and forward of the right foot pedals.

Can you provide me with the name and serial # of the pump that powers your sherman backhoe?
