I am trying to find fenders for my "59 Power Major. It is equiped with a loader and Sherman backhoe and didn"t have fenders on when I got it.
I don"t mind what condition they are in as I can make a press mold in my machine shop and stamp new ones, I just need something to go off of.
Do Dexta fenders fit? they look close in pics.
Or maybe someone could send me some good pics with a few dimensions.
Would sure appreciate it.
Roger in sunny CA.

I may know of a set of fenders, but, they are way up here in Ontario. One of the guys at work has a Major (I think) at his parents farm, and he told me a while ago that they bought a complete rear end from a tractor wreckers, because they needed some of the gearing for theirs. I will try to ask him Monday when I go back to work, and see if they have the fenders. (Will aslo check on the fact that it's a Major)

Thanks Mark, I appreciate that.
I have found a supplier of new ones in the UK but with shipping they are pretty expensive.

You haven't found any as of yet, I gather (other than the UK ones). I don't know what shipping would be like from Ontario to CA either, but, I'm sure it's better than overseas. I will try to find out what I can about these, he lives an hour or so away from work, but, I have to go that way likely mid-week myself, I will try to see if maybe I can get pics, if the fenders are there.

That would be great Ron, sheet metal seems to be the hardest thing to find on these tractors.
By the way, it is sat out by the barn draining oil out of the backhoe and loader. I am going to take this opportunity to replace all of the return hoses as most of them are old and collapsed.
Stay warm back there, Roger

Hey Roger are your hoses the old british standard pressure fittings or have you switched over to the standard american pipe thread adapters?

All of the pressure hoses on the loader and the backhoe have been recently replaced with US standard pipe thread connectors, however no one bothered to replace the 1" ID low pressure hose which is all rotten and collapsed.
BTW, I just bought on ebay a perfect condition "Power Major Instruction Book", this has answered a lot of the silly little questions I had - except of course for the attachments.
