Hi everyone,
I've got a 1950 E27N FoRDSON MAJOR factory fitted with a P6 Perkins diesal, I've pretty well exhausted sources for spare parts but was hoping that there may be a tractor wreckers in the states that may still carry parts, I beleave that the N series was the US version of the same tractor with small differences. I've been to the usual sites in the UK such as old 20 but parts like headlight mounts and and Hydrallic drive shaft covers are unavailable, In Australia unfortunatly horders have pretty well picked it clean and although I've been to places with 3 acres of various tractors and antique machinery sitting in the open rusting, I cannot get these strange people to part with anything, its always OH no I couldn't part with that wheel nut because I'll get around to restoring it one day, mind you that particular fellow is about 87. No doubt the scrap metal boys will end up with most of it.
Regards,
Stevo

N series went from the 1920's to 1945. Different tractor to the E27N. Similar engine but the similarity stops there Steve. N's were much smaller with a different type of rear axle.

Thanks Frank and Majorman,
Almost went off on a wild goose chase, Thanks for the tip Frank those headlight mounts are as you say listed, just having a bit of difficulty getting them to reply to email.
Kind Regards,
Stevo
