Is it possible to mount a minimec injector pump on a power major engine?
My super major went down with with a massive crankshaft breakdown and now i have found a power major engine but without the injector pump

It may be possible depending on which block you have. You will lso have to rework the throttle linkage and replace the intake manifold/

Thank you for your reply.

Ok. the block seems to be the same, exept that there is two holes missing for the back of the pump to be fitted to the block.
How about timing?
I still have the top left from the super major
and I also have a top marked FL (last super major I think)
Serial for the power is 1552830 and for the broken super 08B763681

If your block is missing the two holes its the earlier block and you will have a problem with the pump as far as fitting goes. Timing would be the same as your old Power, 23 degrees. Head and bits can be used but you will get no advantage as the camshaft had different profiles on that newer engine.
