That's a tough one. Around here I have seen a Fordson Major backhoe conversion, heavy duty, complete, but with a hole in the block go for $1000. I would guess that your tractor would be worth less than that, but I am not an expert. That is the only time I have seen a non-running Fordson sold. Non runners are a tough thing to put a value on. I paid $1300 for my major, with a full hydraulic loader, and we drove it home about 3 hours directly from the auction. I watched a Power Major in great shape go for $1500 at an auction. Should have bought that one.
One the other hand, I called a guy up in NY about another Power Major one time, and he wanted something like $4500. Must have been very nice.
If you have to sell it right now, you will probably end up getting much less that $1000. I don't want to guess at a bottom price. However, if you put some time and effort into it and get it running, it will be worth $1500-$3500, if it is in great shape as you say. If you get it running though, you probably won't want to sell it!! Ol Girls just have a way of growing on you.

I wish I could but I wouldn,t know where to start, I am just not ready to tear down a diesel, don't have the time or the money. I love that old tractor and would miss it but it siezed while running one winter and has sat ever since, I figure if my dad didn't want to get into it niether do I. It was one great tractor though. Thanks for your input, just wondering in case anyone asks.
