I would have to agree with Majorman. Ether is the worst thing to feed these old girls.

Where are you located? I might be interested in the Super. I have access to another motor. I am in Northeast PA, USA.

A picture would be useful, and some idea of where you are.

If the engine requires ether to start and run it will be completely knackered and will reduce the value to nearly scrap price.

You are right about the ether..... they become addicted to it. I am a mechanic i don"t use the stuff. the auction guy said they had it running ,but you know how some of them are.If it would crank and run what kind of price range would it fall into ? the sheet metal is rough.
I am in lower South Carolina

I have never seen a hi-crop version, so I haven't the faintest idea what you tractor might be worth. In this area I have seen good running, straight metal working Supers go for $2000-$3000. With the sheet metal in poor condition and the engine as it is, you are probably looking in the $500-$800 range, although this does not take into account the Hi-Crop. Good luck if you decide to sell. You should keep it and get it running correctly again. Best tractors out there!

Problem is, the value can vary so much. I have seen a good one, ex farm with good tinwork and a good runner, sold for £500.00 ($800.00),also seen them completely rebuilt and painted for £2000.00 ($3200.00).

Yours would have a rarity value over here and if a collector wanted it or some one could use the high clear then the price would go up but the engine problem would go against it. You could be looking to spend around £1500.00 ($2400.00) for new liners, pistons and crankshaft regrind inc. bearings.
